Tools with a Mission
10th May 2020
Hi everyone,
During this time of lockdown most people are spending time sorting out the garage, shed or cupboards. Whilst you are doing this please remember that when we are back to normal, TWAM will collect and refurbish tools , sewing machines , knitting machines, computers, light materials ( 1m x 1m min. ) and other haberdashery items. We will collate into trade kits and distribute to developing countries ( mainly Africa ) for training and business development. Should you feel the need for some small projects whilst you have spare time (?) I can email patterns for tool rolls, sewing bags and needle cases etc. Please have a look at our website www.twam.uk
Many thanks,
Colin Pope

Hi Stephen,
I've sent you an email but I want to say thanks to the web site for the opportunity to have made contact. I can't imagine how difficult this would have been years ago without the Internet!

Daphne Garrod was my aunt. She died last April. She was married to two pilots in WW2, who both died in aircraft crashes. Which crash are you researching?

Looking for Garrod, Cruickshank or Hooper
27th February 2015
Hi - I am led to believe that a Ralph Eddowes Garrod (1908 - 1964) was once Mayor of Winchelsea. I am trying to find anyone who knows of his relatives or friends who can help me (directly or indirectly) to trace his great granddaughter Francesca Hooper. Francesca may have much information on her Grandmother, a Daphne Cruickshank/Garrod/Butcher who was the wife of a Pilot whose aircraft crash I am researching. If you have any information please leave a message or contact [email protected] Thank you.
Hearnden Family
13th December 2012
Can anyone help with information on my family tree please?
Issac Hearnden was born in Winchelsea in 1772. He married Elizabeth Brett in 1802 and was a grocer in Winchelsea.
His son, George was the Postmaster at Church Street, Winchelsea and his daughter Lavinia was the Postmistress after him.
I wonder is there any trace of the family left in the town?
Graham Hearnden
