At Rye Pottery we have been producing hand made & decorated, highly collectable pots for over 200 years. Known worldwide for our figures from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and of course the traditional Sussex wedding present – The Sussex Pig – we also continue to make the traditional hand-painted cottage stripe jugs and mugs a design collected by families and museums across the country since the 1950s, not least the V&A.

Visit our shop in the Old Brewery, Wish Ward at the bottom of Mermaid Street, and see the latest must have Rye figure, maybe take some time to browse through our seconds tiles and pottery as well. Or, why not order a named mug for a child or commission a lettered bowl for a special anniversary?

We look forward to seeing you here!

Opening Times
Mondays – Saturdays 10am – 5pm
Sundays & Bank Holidays 11am – 4pm
